Reinforced bike stem
A bike stem with a 1 mm aluminium wall, clamped on its steel steerer tube and loaded through the handlebar with 1000 N downward.
The Reinforcement block adds material inside the hollow stem where it stiffens the stem most, within 20 % of the stem's own material, and shows its map round by round. The part is the stem with a 1 mm Shell Behavior; the design space is the solid stem, so the added material may go anywhere inside it.
