Tiles a flat beam pattern over a surface and returns its beams, with no thickness yet: projected onto a Solid from a plane, a cylinder or along a sweep, laid on a CAD face, or laid on a quad mesh. The pattern is picked by Pattern type or wired in. Parts of the pattern that miss the surface are dropped.
How the pattern reaches the surface. Plane: tiled on a frame's XY plane and carried along its Z onto a Solid. Cylinder: wrapped around a frame's Z axis and carried out to the Solid. Sweep: wrapped around a centerline and carried out to the Solid. Face: laid on a CAD face through its UV. Quad Mesh: laid on each quad of a mesh.
The Solid whose surface receives the beams.
The imported CAD face the beams follow.
A quad mesh, e.g. from Triangles to Quads. Its triangles are ignored.
The beam pattern to tile: Square, Triangle, Hexagon, Diamond (the square grid turned 45°) or Square + Diagonals, or Wired, the pattern wired into Pattern.
The pattern to tile when Pattern type is Wired: a cell whose beams lie on its floor, such as a Custom Cell drawn flat.
UV keeps the picked pattern as drawn; VU swaps its two in-plane axes.
The curve the pattern wraps around and projects away from. Required.
Plane: The pattern lies in this frame's XY plane and is projected along its Z axis. A plane works too. Required. Cylinder: Its origin and Z axis define the cylinder axis; its X axis is where the angle starts. A plane works too. Required.
Tile size in mm along the frame's X axis. Required.
Tile size in mm along the frame's Y axis. Required.
Plane: Project along the frame's −Z instead of +Z. Cylinder: Project inward from outside the Solid instead of outward from the axis, e.g. for an outer skin around a bore. Sweep: Project inward from outside the Solid instead of outward from the centerline.
Tile size in mm along the axis. Required.
Cylinder: How many tiles go once around the axis (at least 1). Required. Sweep: How many tiles go once around the centerline (at least 1). Required.
How many tiles along the full length of the centerline (at least 1). Required.
How many tiles across the face's u range (default 10).
How many tiles across the face's v range (default 10).
Sampling step in mm along each beam (default 1); surface details smaller than this can be missed.
Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.
Every beam, each with its own properties.
All the thickened beams merged into one Solid; beams with no thickness yet are the distance to their segments.
This lattice in a Lattice List of one.
The beams, vertices and thicknesses, without the lattice around them.
The beams and vertices alone, with no thickness.
The axis-aligned extent of the beams' vertices.
How many beams the lattice has.
Each beam as a line segment.
How many vertices the lattice has.
For each vertex, the number of beams that end there.
The position of every vertex.
