Spreads an exact number of points evenly over a surface: a mesh, or a Solid's surface. Each point moves to the centre of the part of the surface nearest to it, again and again, until no point moves or the settle steps run out. The same inputs give the same points, every run. Nearness is measured in straight lines, so where two parts of the surface lie closer together than the spacing (the two sides of a thin wall), their points share regions.
The surface to spread the points over: a mesh, or a Solid, whose surface is meshed finely for the spreading and the points then placed exactly on it. Required.
How many points, from 1 to 100,000; exactly this many come out (a fraction is rounded).
Where the points start. Another seed gives another even layout; the same seed always gives the same points.
How many times each point moves to the centre of its region, from 0 to 1,000 (200 unless set). The spreading stops earlier once no point moves.
Optional field: the wanted distance between points. Points sit closer where it is smaller. The count stays as asked, so the field sets where the points gather, not how many there are. It must be above zero on the surface.
Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.
How many points the list holds.
The axis-aligned extent of all the points.
